- I am a conservative woman living in the Southeastern US and the Rockies, depending on the season. I am an erstwhile wife and current mother of grown children. My life, so far, has been one of non-sequiturs which have formed my current outlook on many subjects including: family, culture, politics, food, sexuality, health, and objective versus subjective reality. With a degree in civil/environmental engineering, I have worked as a journalist, fundraiser, and most recently a professional fly fishing guide. I have never met a hiking trail, small trout stream, a leafy green vegetable, an articulate, conservative humanoid or a string of pearls I didn't like. After growing up in a conservative, Christian family, I was seduced by many the "isms" in the 60s, and took some sharp left turns. Then one day I began to realize I was on a dead-end street. By the Grace of God and through the mercy of His Son, I made a U-turn and then some better right turns. Surrounded by libs on all sides, I am thankful that I am alive to share some stories/opinions from my journey, to have a few laughs at myself, and to give Him Glory in the process.
