When the Government Takes Control of Your Private Lives, Run For Your Lives!

Fortunately, I'm past the child rearing days of old, but now I know why I would never want to live in California, beautiful as it is.

It's the government that won't quit interfering.

The lunatics are clearly in control of the asylum now. And another thought: the more we have the absence of intact families, God and a true sense of objective right and wrong in our everyday lives----in this ever increasing relative world we live in---the more the godless will be inclined to have the government take over and legislate for our disintegration and missing morality into nonsense like the above. Government as godhead and father-figure....what a blast.

Maybe you should run out of the U.S. too:

This law is "liber-diculous". It makes me want to introduce a bill to turn all of the abortion clinics into Fetus Spanking Clinics. When a little partially developed tyke starts acting up, take 'em down to the FSC for some discipline.

Mom -

Although this bill may seem ridiculous to you on the face of it, I would urge you to consider a few things. First of all, just because someone wants to pass a law like this does not mean that they are "godless" or desire the government to "take over and legislate" all aspects of our lives.

Secondly I am against striking a child in any way because punishment of this form does not teach respect, it only teaches a child to go undercover and hide their behavior in the future. It is kind of odd that there are laws that prevent any adult or other person outside your family from striking you in our country but inside the family it is okay.

I personally don't know if I would support a law against it (I might), but I don't think that it will lead to the disintegration of our society.
