Maps of War: Imperial History in the Middle East

Lest we forget. Well worth a look. When we forget history, we are doomed to repeat it.

Yes, Jen, all that's fine and good information, but it begs the question....so what? I mean, is there any good application for us today, or do you just want to wallow in the past and hate for Bush.....I call it "masturhation."

Let's not forget, since you brought it up, that Clinton, as in President Bill Clinton, after two embassy attacks and the bombing of the USS Cole had a chance to take bin Laden out. He was actually on the gold course when the call came in the little black box with the telephone in it from the Navy. They had Osama (not to be confused with Obama) in their cross-hairs and were waiting for Clinton to give the order for them to pull the trigger.

But Bill just couldn't, wouldn't, shouldn't do it. It might have ruined his golf score that day.

And so the rest is history.

Today, Bush, Cheney et al do indeed take the threats seriously. Do you? Or would you rather create straw men to masturhate on?

I am most amused when BDS puveyors smugly state that President Bush was on vacation. When this President goes on vacation it generally means his work day is cut done to 10 - 11 hours. That combined with the complete communication center and staff still on the job, the President knew we had numerous threats, but because of depleted intelligence assets here and abroad (WJC) there was no way to ascertain which ones to pursue.

Of course when his critics go on vacation...

Rebels without a pause.

Sounds like a scene in a movie.
